Reflecting on 2023, I am grateful for our shared achievements in freight transport, logistics, and supply chain. Our collective efforts in research, education, and industry collaboration have been remarkable, notably the contributions of our PhD students and our work with the European Supply Chain Forum.
Our academic journey saw the blossoming of knowledge, with numerous papers published, adding valuable insights to our discipline. Each publication advanced our understanding and cemented our commitment to excellence in research. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the vibrant group of around 20 Ph.D. students whose dedication and enthusiasm are a constant source of inspiration. Their hard work and innovative thinking immensely contributed to the evolution of our field, and I am incredibly proud of your accomplishments.
Our engagement with the European Supply Chain Forum further exemplified the importance of industry-academia collaboration. Working closely with numerous companies, we bridged theoretical knowledge and practical application, fostering a more resilient and efficient supply chain ecosystem.
